The Tussie Mussie dates back to the 1400's when it was referred to as a small bouquet of herbs or flowers. Later, in the 1800's, ladies filled cone shaped vases with flowers and herbs to carry while strolling and to make those strolls more aromatically pleasing. Bridal bouquets were in the style of a nosegay or tussie mussie featuring flowers and blooms symbolic of prosperity, fertility and fidelity.
